What a great weekend. On Saturday, I got to play golf on the most beautiful day of the year, and then we went to the Perry's for some fantastic BBQ ribs. We enjoyed a nice fire in their fire pit, and it was a gorgeous evening, until about 11pm when it started raining (surprise).
Sunday we moved some wood from our neighbor's house to our backyard (she sold us a cord of wood, and we moved it by wheelbarrow) and then went to Emily's for late lunch. What a fun time! It was sunny and we played in the backyard and gorged ourselves on food. We got to talk to Ryan for a few minutes, and that was awesome. We are so lucky to be able to keep in touch with him as much as we are. There are some wonderful pictures of the day at Emily and Ryan's Picasa page.
Monday was spent finishing the cord of wood transfer. Quinn, Kallen, our neighbors Austin and Troy did a large amount of the work (Quinn and Kallen were pretty much exhausted by the end of the day) and we are glad to be done.
Some time during the day I also went to a softball practice and mowed a lawn while Eva planted flowers, weeded the garden and mowed the other lawn. Wow, busy busy.
I'm taking this week off from work to relax and get some things done around the house. What a nice Memorial Day... :D
